PRI Trade Show Confirms Thursday,
Friday, Saturday Show Days For 2008!
In major, late-breaking news, the traditional Thursday, Friday, Saturday dates for the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show have been confirmed for 2008. The dates for the 2008 PRI Trade Show will be Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, December 11-13, 2008.
Through the cooperation of the Convention Center team, the folks at the Orlando Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Dave Thompson and his Fern Company team, we are switching to a four-day exhibitor move-in, rather than the usual five and one half days, to accommodate this date change, said Steve Lewis, show producer. "This will also require a strong ‘team effort’ on the part of the PRI Trade Show exhibitors, but we know everybody will do whatever it takes to accomplish the goal of keeping our traditional Thursday, Friday, Saturday dates."
Because other organizations have had long-reserved dates for 2008 events in Orlando, the change in dates for the PRI Trade Show will make it necessary for Orlando hotel sales executives to provide extra rooms for the Wednesday peak night. It is possible some early arriving exhibitors may have to stay at a hotel farther from the Convention Center for a night or two, until rooms in their favorite Show hotel are available.
"We’re taking the ‘racer approach!’ We’re doing whatever it takes as a team to put the 2008 PRI Trade Show on the dates that work best for everybody", added Lewis.
The PRI Trade Show is the world’s largest racing trade show, timed in December to provide racing retailers, race engine builders, race car builders, professional race teams, motorsports engineers and warehouse distributors the opportunity to preview the latest advances in racing technology and have new products in stock for the start of the racing season.
It is attended by 45,000 racing entrepreneurs from 47 countries, with exhibits by 1,450 racing companies in 4,250 booths. The PRI Trade Show takes up roughly 1,000,000 square feet.
