For Monaco 2008 TD Sport & Travel have partnered with PSM International (www.f1.co.uk) to charter ‘The Hemilea’, a 41metre luxury yacht with a berth in the heart of Monaco harbour. Once you step aboard you will be looked after by the crew who will be offering 5 star hospitality including a combination of International cuisine created by two of the world’s top chefs. From the decks you and your guests will enjoy breathtaking views of Monaco and will be at the centre of the jet-set Grand Prix atmosphere as the noise, adrenaline and excitement builds close-by. From the yacht it is just a two minute walk to the heart of the action where you take your VIP trackside seats by the famous swimming pool for the start of the unique Monaco Grand Prix.

Formula 1 is a show of spectacular high speed racing cars Your superior two-day package is based on the luxury yacht Hemilea berthed in the heart of Monaco harbour. The package includes grandstand seating for Saturday practice, Sunday morning warm-up and The Grand Prix. You can also enjoy the support races from your reserved seats throughout the weekend. Breakfast lunch and afternoon tea is included and a complimentary bar is available throughout both days. A champagne reception takes place on Saturday and Sunday prior to lunch.

The Hemelia. A luxury at the heart of the monaco harbour Transfers to the yacht can either be via the ship’s tender from nearby Fontveille or via one of our hosts who will meet you at the train station in Monaco and escort you to The Hemilea.

There are six luxury cabins available onboard Hemilea (double or twin occupancy) for guests wishing to stay on board. Monaco Grand Prix History

Since it began in 1929, the Monaco Grand Prix is widely regarded to be one of the most important and prestigious races in the world. The history, spectacle and glamour result in the race being considered "the jewel of the Formula One crown".

The first race in 1929, was organised by Anthony Noghès under the auspices of the "Automobile Club de Monaco", and was won by William Grover-Williams driving a Bugatti. The event was part of the pre-Second World War European Championship and was included in the first Formula One World Championship in 1950. The race is held on a narrow course laid out in the streets of Monaco, with many elevation changes and tight corners, making it one of the most demanding tracks in Formula One. In spite of the relatively low average speeds, it is a dangerous place to race.

Brazil's Ayrton Senna won the race more than any other driver, with six victories, of which five ran consecutively between 1989 and 1993. Graham Hill was known as "Mr Monaco" due to his five Monaco wins in the 1960s.
