Power Boat Racing
Every so often, visitors staying on the Jumeirah Beach front can witness the awesome sight of the locally based Victory Team’s Class 1 World Powerboat Championship crafts pushing to their limits during test runs in the Arabian Gulf waters.
These 45 foot long and 5 tonne Catamarans are difficult to miss whilst you’re basking in the sunshine on the white powdery beaches.
Each year, the World Off-shore Power Boat Class 1 Championships visit Dubai, usually for the last round in the Championship battle, which always adds to the excitement for teams beckoning success.
The 15-lap course that they take is 7.6 nautical miles and gives spectators the opportunity of close up views of the action.
The Grand Prix starts in front of the Mina Seyahi Hotel on Jumeirah Beach before routing past the entrance of the Dubai Marina and continuing on the course prior to finishing only a few hundred metres off the coast, opposite Le Royal Meridien Hotel on Jumeirah Beach.
The entertainment surrounding the race is family orientated and with the added social scene over this two-day event, this is definitely set to become one of Dubai’s major spectator activities.

Often the boats can be moored in Jebal Ali’s Marina.
Deep Sea Fishing
Some of the richest game waters of the Gulf are located off the coast of Dubai and what better way to enjoy your spare time but catch Barracuda, Shark or Grouper in the warm waters, just some 10 miles off-shore.

Diving

Diving in Dubai is geared towards beginners wanting a taste of diving through to offering a full range of PADI course and dives aimed at qualified instructors.
Between the months of May through to October, the water is so warm that wetsuits are not required.
3mm wetsuits are ideal for the remaining months although a full range of equipment can be hired from our PADI certified Diving centre.
Submerged wrecks, Coral and Reef diving all attract fascinating marine life and it’s possible to see many Rays, harmless Sharks and vivid tropical fish due to the good underwater visibility.
For the more adventurous, we can arrange dives on the East Coast waters and off the Gulf of Oman where some of the best reefs in the world are awaiting to be explored underwater.

Heritage & Diving Village
Should you be planning to Dive in the Arabian waters off the coast of Dubai, it may be of interest to you to visit the Award Winning Heritage and Dive Village in Dubai.
Here you will see a traditional village displaying the crafts once made locally along with details or marine life, pearl diving and fishing that assisted the area in bygone years.
Sailing & Windsurfing
Calm waters and gentle breezes with predictable winds with near perfect tide conditions make Dubai the perfect Sailing and Windsurfing destination.
One of the most popular pastimes in Dubai sees a flurry of fixed keel, dinghy and boardsailing during public holidays.

Water Skiing
Both Dubai and the Arabian Gulf provide the ideal setting for Water Skiing.
Year round warm waters, excellent sunshine and flat waters all combine to offer the beginner and advanced skier perfect conditions for water skiing.
The best place for water skiing is the upper end of Dubai Creek although some of the beach hotels also offer this activity locally.
A water skiing festival takes place each year where the top performers from around the world take part in competition water skiing.
